The short version: our learning apps for children do not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal information about you or your child. They have no ads and no tracking.
This policy covers Readwood, Count Cove, and any other learning app for children published by Pacific Northwest Mobile Games on Google Play. Our other games are covered by a separate privacy policy.
What stays on the device
To work, each app keeps a small file on the device it is installed on. It holds:
- Progress — which activities each child has finished, the stars, stickers and awards earned, and how well each skill is known.
- Narrator choice — whether each child picked the girl or boy narrator.
- An optional first name — only if a grown-up chooses to type one, used only to show praise on the screen (for example "Great job, Maya!").
- Settings — sound and music settings, and whether the full app has been unlocked.
This file never leaves the device. We cannot see it, and it is not included in Android cloud backups. The grown-ups area in each app can erase one child's progress, and uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
What we do not do
- No advertising and no advertising ID.
- No analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services.
- No accounts, sign-in, chat, or links to websites or social media.
- No access to the camera, microphone, contacts, photos or location.
- We do not sell or share any information, because we have none.
In-app purchase
The first part of each app is free. The rest can be unlocked with one in-app purchase per app, which can only be started from the grown-ups area behind a parental gate.
The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. Google processes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy, and we never receive your payment details. The app only asks Google Play, on the device, whether the unlock has been bought, so it can open the rest of the app and restore it after a reinstall.
Children's privacy
These apps are designed for children and follow Google Play's Families policy. Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing for a parent to request, review or delete from us. If you have any question about this policy, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date at the top. We will not start collecting data from children.
